The CGFNS–NCNZ pathway is associated with the registration process for internationally qualified nurses who want to practise in New Zealand. The Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) assesses internationally qualified nurses to determine whether they meet the requirements for registration and safe nursing practice in New Zealand.
CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) evaluation and certification process generally includes:
- Identity Verification
Passport or government-issued identification. - Nursing Education Verification
- Verification of your nursing diploma/degree directly from your nursing school or university.
- Academic transcripts.
- Nursing Registration/Licensure Verification
- Verification of your nursing registration/license from the nursing council where you are registered (e.g., PNRC, BFUHS, State Nursing Council).
- Secondary School Education Verification (required for some applications).
